The survey was part of the research project "Suomalainen työ murroksen jälkeen" ["Finnish work under transformation"] commissioned by the Government's analysis, assessment and research activities unit (VNTEAS). First, the respondents' views were charted on how employment in Finland would be affected by automation in the next ten years. Attitudinal statements presented to the respondents also examined the perceived future effects of digitalisation and platform economy. In addition, the respondents were asked to evaluate different measures that could be taken to ensure employees' ability to adapt to the future labour market. It was also charted which political objective of the digital economy the respondents deemed most important (e.g. economic growth, shortening work hours, increased employment). Finally, the respondents' opinions were asked on different models for universal basic income (UBI).
